Right off the bat, I'll tell you that the last fifteen minutes of URBAN LEGEND was just about the stupidest bthing I've ever seen.
Having said that, though, I liked UL overall. The opening scene is a familar story, and it was done extremely well. The camerawork and atmosphere made this a really great scene. (By the way, this scene was also done well in NIGHTMARES from the mid-'80s). The movie held up reasonably well after the opening, too. To be fair, I will definitely admit that the acting and dialogue were laugably bad many times. But, UL tried to be nothing but a *horror* movie, so I'll give it some credit, even if it was only slightly scary.
UL would have been much better if it had ended with the cop shooting Brenda as soon as Brenda releaved herself to be the killer. A quick explanation at
a police station in the next scene would tie up loose ends without putting
us through that *stupid* explanation/confession scene.
