    well well... another film where you can't imagine anyone other than
    nicholas cage playing the role.
    it's gone straight to streaming but is apparently so popular that
    theatrical exhibitions are being arranged constantly.

    cage and his girlfriend - mandy, live an idyllic life in the wilderness
    when members of a religious cult come visiting, kidnap and roast to
    death mandy and then scarper.
    cage of course has to track the members down one by one and kill them - VIOLENTLY!
    it's all very stylised - the opening with king crimson musical
    accompaniment is very relaxing and the cult members often appear as
    leather clad semi monsters - not sure if this is supposed to simply be
    in the mind of cage's character or 'real life'.
    no matter, it's very watchable, apparently directed by the son of the
    director of rambo 2.

    the year list because I've seen 10 worse films.
