(someonethe major studio's are looking for one thing,
$$$$$$$ so even if a filmmaker came up with
something original in the horror genre and it
was a big hit, we would have endless retreads
of that same movie with all the studio's try to duplicate it's success
WOW!! Someone finally posted what the movie business is all about
else may have done so but this is the first I've seen.). Hollywood couldcare
less what anybody in this newsgroup thinks. They will finance what they think will sell. If nobody buys tickets to their movies then they will declare the genre dead and not produce anymore. There are exceptions but damn few.
>who know's? maybe vampire's will be a huge hit
and the studio's will try to ride on it's success by
making a bunch of gory kick-ass horror film's.
HA! HA! HA!
We can only hope. It would be nice to see a retro 70's/80's horror film, espicially if it was shot on the same type of film stock used in the seventies.
