Having said that there should not be any sequels to Romero's DAY OF THE
DEAD, this one isn't as bad as I expected. That certainly is high
praise! It's an OK time waster with a bit of decent gore despite all the
    CGI blood.

OK, it was a damnsite better than that attrocious remake that came out
in the wake of 2004's Dawn remake (not sure if this was meant to be a
sequel to that?) and it wasn't as awful as "Day of the Dead : Contagium"
(which was marketted as a quasi prequel to romero's Day of the Dead,
which is stupid for obvious reasons). But then thats not much of a
    ringing endorsement!

Essentially, it was just another loose remake of Romero's "Day of the
Dead" with bits of The Walking Dead thrown in AND even Warm Bodies???

A Military bunker, which is also harbouring a number of civilians in
this version, with commanding officer who's becoming increasingly
dicatatorial. A Doctor who has a unique zombie she's studying, which may provide an answer to the zombie epidemic. A scene where they try and let
some zombies in through a gate, so they can conduct studies, but things predictably go awry.

Quite an impressive scene of the military fending off zombies trying to
break into the compound near the end, with plenty of headshots and
    jugulars being bitten.

A rather silly scene of an infatuated blood doner coming back as a
zombie to stalk the nurse he had a crush on, who manages to sneek into
    the base and cause mayhem.

Worth a watch if not much else on and morbidly curious.

    Early impressions:

    Fast zombies. Blech.

The sick "little girl" in the bunker looks to be about 30 years old. She's right on the edge of being a female Peter Bark.

I can see already that the guy playing the new Rhodes character isn't going
to cut it. Not nearly loud and crazy enough.

Despite these observations, at 20 minutes or so in, I'm still reasonably entertained.
