Caught this one at the cinema last night.

A University Professor, who has dedicated his life to debunking claims
of the paranormal, is tasked with investigating 3 mysterious cases that
    have baffled other experts.

The first, a night watchmen at an old asylum which is currently being redeveloped, encounters something creepy in the cells below. A young lad
out joyriding in his parents car runs over something that isnt exactly a
goat, and a middle aged buisinessman encounters something creepy in the
nursery whilst his wife is in hospital with their first child.

Based on a stage play by Andy Nyman (who plays the lead character) and
Jeremy Dyson (of League of Gentlemen infamy), this wasn't bad. But the 3 stories don't seem to really go anywhere. Though there was a twist which explains what's really going on right at the end (which I won't spoil).

The film is kept entertaining by a streak of jet black humour that runs throughout and it was amusing to see Paul Whitehouse essentially playing
his pub geezer character from the Fast Show. League of Gentlemen fans
will probably enjoy it, but it might have played better as a TV special,
    rather than a movie.

    Worth a watch.

As much as it pains me, I have to agree. If it was a Halloween TV
special, I'm sure I'd have loved it. But as a highly anticipated film
which I've been looking forward to for some months now, it was a
resounding disappointment. I wish I could have seen the stage show
    instead.
