Police are investigating an anti-Semitic message found at the
Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn.
CNN reports New York City police were alerted after a post-it
note with the words “Hitler is coming” was found on a billboard
display in front of the museum Thursday.
Police told the news outlet they are trying to determine whether
the note should be investigated as a hate crime. They said they
do not have any suspects.
CNN notes, according to the New York City Police Department,
that hate crimes in the city have gone up 67 percent from April
2018 to April 2019.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D)
both publicly condemned the anti-Semitic message found at the
museum.
"It's part of a very troubling pattern that we're seeing,” Cuomo
said Friday. “Increased anti-Semitic attacks all across this
country and all across this state.”
De Blasio wrote in a post on Twitter that it is part of a "wave
of hatred has been allowed to fester in our society."
The same museum was evacuated in 2017 after receiving a bomb
threat.
Co-founder and director of external affairs Devorah Halberstam
told CNN the post-it note was found on a message board where
young children typically write “acts of goodness and kindness.”
She also noted the previous threats and anti-Semitic hate the
museum has previously been subject to.

The message was placed there by a left wing Democrat Jew parent.
