    Mahalo.

Charlie changed the world. And unlike most people who changed the world,
the number of people who got hurt is small.

Even those probably are not his fault.

I think that Charlie was kind of an average guy that just happened to be a rock star. Read somewhere that he had sketched every hotel room that he had stayed in while on tour with the Stones. I thought that was an interesting insight into the man.

He must have filled as many sketchbooks as there are volumes in an
    encyclopedia set, then!

There is a film ( 2019 "The Quiet One" ) of Bill Wyman's archive. It's
not quite Zappa's "The Vault" but it's very large in scale.

I think he was way above average but just not in any way you could see.

Was that .. lurching swung thing anywhere before the Stones did it?
Blues records were rhythmically rough but not like that.

It's like three or four versions of just the right amount of wrong
put together to where it's ... what it is.

But yeah - he and Wyman have always seemed like really ordinary people.

And these days, even Keef just seems like that.

Read somewhere that he had sketched every hotel room that he had stayed in while on tour with the Stones. I thought that was an interesting insight into the man.
