Trump's inaugural committee chairman arrested amid criminal probe of
allegedly misused funds

A man has been arrested amid a continuing investigation into
inauguration funds that were allegedly misused.

NBC News' Tom Winter reports that longtime Trump friend Thomas Barrack
was arrested by federal agents in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The United States Department of Justice now says that it is charging
Barrack for participating in an illegal political influence campaign at
the behest of the government of the United Arab Emirates.

Acting Assistant Attorney General Mark Lesko of the Justice Department's National Security Division said that Barrack and three other
codefendants are being charged with acting and conspiring to act as
agents of the UAE.

Additionally, Barrack faces separate charges of obstruction of justice
and making multiple false statements to law enforcement officials.

Florida man regrets waiting to get vaccine after COVID-19 destroys both
his lungs


A Flor-a-DIE man regrets his decision to put off getting vaccinated
against the coronavirus after an infection ravaged his respiratory system.

Blake Bargatze was the only one in his family who wasn't vaccinated, and
he became infected with COVID-19 in April while in Florida, and the
24-year-old needed a double lung transplant and has spent months in
intensive care in hospitals across three states, reported WSB-TV.

"I just don't ever want anybody else to go through this," said his
mother, Cheryl Nuclo, who said her son vaped regularly but was otherwise healthy before his infection. "No diabetes, no hypertension -- just a 24-year-old kid."
