A vaccine-skeptical Arkansas mother is begging other parents not to make
the same mistake as her.

Angela Morris decided against vaccinations for herself and her
13-year-old daughter because she doubted the severity of the
coronavirus, but she's learning a hard lesson now that her child has
been hospitalized with an infection, reported KTHV-TV.

"I just had a false sense of security that it was just like the flu and
it wasn't that serious," Morris said. "Obviously, it is that serious and
it was that serious -- now I can see."

Now, Alan Scott Lanoix's sister is sharing the story of her brother's

"It's hard to believe that one decision can change your whole life,"
Lanoix's sister Lisa Adler told New Orleans' CBS affiliate. "The kids
had to bury their father on Father's day. He thought the vaccine was
poison and he was afraid of getting it and there's a lot of people that
have that same feeling.

A Flor-a-DIE man regrets his decision to put off getting vaccinated
against the coronavirus after an infection ravaged his respiratory system.

Blake Bargatze was the only one in his family who wasn't vaccinated, and
he became infected with COVID-19 in April while in Florida, and the
24-year-old needed a double lung transplant and has spent months in
intensive care in hospitals across three states, reported WSB-TV.

"I just don't ever want anybody else to go through this," said his
mother, Cheryl Nuclo, who said her son vaped regularly but was otherwise healthy before his infection. "No diabetes, no hypertension -- just a 24-year-old kid."
