His early 45's and dynamic stage shows created a rock and roll legend. Fun music.

You need to pay attention to the difference between stealing, and having been
    influenced.
All artists are influenced, some of them steal.
Little Richard copied a hair do... so did everyone from the sixties copy the
    beatles.
and earlier, elvis. that's NOT stealing.
He heard voice and realized he could do it better..and did. that's not
    stealing.
You can't find anyone who hears something good and doesn't try to do it
    better.
    That's not stealing.
If you call it stealing, there is NO progress at all.
How about the music itself? Did he steal that?
    Did he steal the piano?
    Don't be a fool Lulu.

You're really overthinking this. I like Little Richard as an entertainer. He had a half dozen hits at best, before he flipped out on religion and basically dropped his music career. He was included in the inaugural group of 10 artists
    inducted into
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was famous. He also stole a lot of the stuff that people think he innovated.

    Thanks for the smug condescension,

Well, you fired up the crowd with these claims. ;-)

A genre that is based on a 3-chord sequence, loud singing and 4/4 time
    makes "originality" pretty much meaningless.

But, there is a definition of stealing a song that differs from the
    colloquial use of the term.

    For example: <https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-lists/songs-on-trial-12-landmark-music-copyright-cases-166396/the-beach-boys-vs-chuck-berry-1963-65098/>

    <https://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2015/04/23/6-current-copyright-cases-more-important-than-blurred-lines/>

Frankly, I read the claims that Little Richard "stole" music as little
more than an attempt to denigrate his popularity. That said, he was only
a "founder of Rock & Roll" to youngsters, since I recall listening to Bo Diddley and others around 1950-52, the period when the genre was named. ;-)

    nb

Of course I recall Conway Twitty, and many others who shaped the genre.

As for the dating of the name, the precise date is unclear, which is why
I referred to it as a "period". Even the Wikipedia reference that stated
the 1954 date conflict with information it the same article:

"In 1934, the song "Rock and Roll" by the Boswell Sisters appeared in
the film Transatlantic Merry-Go-Round. In 1942, Billboard magazine
columnist Maurie Orodenker started to use the term "rock-and-roll" to
describe upbeat recordings such as "Rock Me" by Sister Rosetta
Tharpe.[17] By 1943, the "Rock and Roll Inn" in South Merchantville, New Jersey, was established as a music venue.[18] In 1951, Cleveland, Ohio,
disc jockey Alan Freed began playing this music style while popularizing
    the phrase to describe it.[19]"

    <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_and_roll>

Point being that most of this pre-dated Little Richard by about a decade.
