    Buchanan (WDAY) The Body of 63 year old Sonia Heinle was recovered about 6:30-p.m. Thursday from the slough in which her car plunged, this past
    Sunday near her home at Buchanan.

    Sonar equipment located her in the slough, and her body was then recovered.

    Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says he’s relieved they found Heinle and are able to give the family some closure.

    Earlier on Thursday, the dive team from Fargo joined the search.

    Underwater sonar equipment was used, which has a range of 500 feet. The
    slough is a half mile long and a half mile wide.

    Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser told CSiNewsNow.com, it appears she went off the roadway into the the slough when she misjudged a turn off into her driveway during snowy,windy conditions. He says when wind blew snow from the ground cover, vehicle tracks showed the car went into the slough.

    Recovery personnel on Wednesday were able to pull Sonia Heinle’s car out of the slough that it went into on Sunday.

    The vehicle’s window was open, but her body was not in the vehicle.

    She was last seen this past Sunday night at 7-p.m. Officials say she did not return home after visiting her son’s house about two miles away.

    Buchanan (WDAY) The search for Sonia Heinle in Buchanan continued on Thursday.

    Authorities suspect that her body is still in the murky slough waters that
    her car went into last Sunday. A ground search was initiated at the outset
    of the search. Earlier this week car tracks led to the slough, that her car went into. The car was raised from the slough. A car window was open but
    her body was not inside it.

    Officials say the water is too cold for divers to go into, and underwater
    sonar equipment is being used, which has a range of 500 feet. The slough is
    a half mile long and a half mile wide. Searchers will continuing looking
    for her in the coming days.

    Jamestown – according to an Inforum report: Recovery personnel on Weds were able to pull Sonia Heinle’s car out of a slough that it went into on Sunday.

    The report says the vehicle’s window was open, but her body was not in the vehicle, and still has not been located as of Wednesday.

    The search of the slough will continue on Thursday, using the underwater
    ROV, and a continued land search.

    Jamestown (CSi) Efforts to recover the vehicle of Sonia Heinle of Buchanan continued on Wednesday. The Vehicle is submerged in about 10 feet of water
    in a slough near her home. The cold temperatures have hampered divers, freezing their underwater gear. Plans were to have a heated fish house
    brought to the scene, to keep the personnel warm, as crews rotated in going into the slough.

    events that took place Tuesday in the search for Sonia Heinle. He told CSiNewsNow.com Tuesday evening that while her car was found submerged in a slough, icy conditions prevented divers from being able to hook up to the
    car and bring it to the surface, as cold temperatures affected the diving equipment. He added that when darkness set in, the recovery of the car was suspended until daylight, Wednesday. He says, until the car is recovered it won’t be known if her body is still in the car.     Update… Jamestown (Valley News Live) Authorities on Tuesday afternoon found the vehicle of a missing Stutsman County woman, and continue to look
    for her body.

    Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser confirmed to Valley News Live that dive crews Tuesday afternoon were working to pull a car out from a slough.

    CSiNewsNow.com learned that the Stutsman Dive and Rescue Team was called to
    the area, about 11:30-a.m., Tuesday.

    The vehicle submerged in water belongs to 63 year old Sonia Heinle, who was driving it Sunday night before she went missing.

    Sheriff Kaiser says the vehicle was located Tuesday morning near Heinle’s home and it appears Sunday’s weather played a factor in the vehicle ending
    up in the slough.

    The recent cold snap has made the search efforts difficult, according to the sheriff.

    Search crews are working to determine if a body is inside.
