AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police arrested several suspects accused of
stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from retailers in the
    Lakeline Mall area.

The department's "shopping blitz" operation on Thursday, December 5 led to
nine arrests for organized criminal activity, theft, and possession of a controlled substance in North Austin and Williamson County.

Police say the first case was at Kohl's, located at 111111 Lakeline Blvd,
where a group of four suspects attempted to conceal the unpaid merchandise
in a baby stroller. When police were called, the suspects fled and left
the stroller with the stolen items behind, but they were quickly arrested. Police recovered nearly $1,100 in merchandise and an additional $1,200 in stolen merchandise from two other stores from their vehicle.

additional stolen items and narcotics inside the vehicle. Clausen was
charged with one count of theft and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance while Shell was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
