?White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki didn’t have an answer Monday when pressed on the Post report that a copy of Vice President Kamala Harris’ children’s book was being given to young migrants when they arrive to
border detention facilities in the US.

She was asked at her daily briefing about whether Harris is making any
money from it.

“I’d have to check with our Health and Human Services team,” she
responded, referring to the federal department that is responsible for the minors at the border.

The book, “Superheroes are Everywhere,” is included in the kids’ welcome
kits, the reporter pressed Psaki.

“I have to certainly check on that. Hear it’s a good book,” Psaki said,
seeming to make light of the thousands of illegal immigrant minors being
given the veep’s book upon their arrival to the overcrowded facilities
after being apprehended.

The Post on Friday reported that while the vice president herself has yet
to travel to the border to gauge the crisis there, her 2019 book has.

Migrant children being brought to the federal shelter in Long Beach,
Calif., are given a copy of the book.

“Faster than a rocket ship! Stronger than a tidal wave! Braver than a
lion! Superheroes always make the world better, no matter what goes
wrong,” the book says.

“Whenever there’s trouble, superheroes show up just in time,” it says.

President Biden named Harris to oversee the administration’s response to
the surge of illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America last
month, but she has yet to visit the border or hold a press conference to
take questions.

In an interview with CNN that aired Sunday, Harris said she’s ready for face-to-face meetings with leaders of Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, but is being thwarted by “COVID issues” — despite being
vaccinated.

“And we have a plan to actually have another meeting coming up soon. We’re working on the plan to get there. We have to deal with COVID issues, but I can’t get there soon enough, in terms of personally getting there,” she
said.
