SHELBY COUNTY — U.S. Marshals have arrested Timmie Cooperwood,
42, for first-degree murder after shooting a woman that’s
allegedly the mother of his children.
On Oct.6, Memphis Police were called to the 2000 block of
Prospect for a shooting, a release stated.
MPD said Shandka Harvell was shot and killed.
Investigators determined Cooperwood was the suspect in this case
and a warrant was issued Oct.9.
Officials found him at a home in St. Cloud, Minnesota and took
him into custody.

In addition to first-degree murder, Cooperwood was also wanted
for Aggravated Assault, Convicted Fugitive in Possession of a
Handgun, Aggravated Stalking, Employing a Firearm with intent to
commit a Felony, and Aggravated Burglary, according to a release.
“Timmie Cooperwood was able to avoid arrest for close to three
months,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “I’m pleased that the
Marshals Service was able to close this fugitive case before the
year came to an end.”
