    UNION, S.C. —
A 25-year-old Union woman has been arrested and charged after
her 4-year-old child was found living in a filthy home, along
with a pig and drug paraphernalia, according to a report from
    Union Police Department.

Police said they were called to the home Friday morning to help
    EMS with a combative patient.

The responding officer said when he entered the home, he
immediately smelled ammonia, saw a large dog running loose and
several pools of urine on the floor.

The report said while helping EMS with the patient the officer
saw a young child running outside without socks and shoes.

The report said a woman at the home, identified as Hannah Marie
Hvolbool, told the officer the child was her 4-year-old daughter
and gave the officer permission to check out the living
    conditions inside the home.

The officer said he found the floor of one bedroom completely
covered with dog feces and urine. In the kitchen, the officer
reported finding mold in the refrigerator, open beer bottles,
and moldy food in the cabinets, along with mice droppings.

A water bong, a glass pipe, and another pipe that smelled of
marijuana, and a marijuana grinder with a small amount of
marijuana inside of it was also found in the home, the report
    said.

A grown pig was found living in bathroom, which was the only
room with running water, according to the report. The officer
reported the bathroom was covered with pig urine and feces. The
report said the bathtub was covered with mold.

The report said the child’s father, Mark Leiske, and Hvolbool’s
brothers were also living in the home.

A warrant check found that Leiske was wanted in California for
burglary charges, according to the report.

The Department of Social Services was called to the home and the
child was put into emergency protective custody.

Hvolbool was arrested and charged with unlawful neglect of a
    child, the report said.
