Introduction and overview

Hoffman notes that the commonly held view that brain activity causes conscious experience has, so far, proved to be intractable in terms of scientific explanation. Hoffman proposes a solution to the hard problem of consciousness by adopting the converse
view that consciousness causes brain activity and, in fact, creates all objects
and properties of the physical world. To this end, Hoffman developed and combined two theories - "multimodal user interface" (MUI) theory of perception and "conscious realism"

Multimodal user interface (MUI) theory

MUI theory[2] states that "perceptual experiences do not match or approximate properties of the objective world, but instead provide a simplified, species-specific, user interface to that world." Hoffman argues that conscious beings have not evolved to
perceive the world as it actually is but have evolved to perceive the world in a way that maximizes "fitness payoffs". Hoffman uses the metaphor of a computer
desktop and icons - the icons of a computer desktop provide a functional interface so that the
user does not have to deal with the underlying programming and electronics in order to use the computer efficiently. Similarly, objects that we perceive in time and space are metaphorical icons which act as our interface to the world and enable us to
function as efficiently as possible without having to deal with the overwhelming amount of data underlying reality.[3]
Conscious Realism

Conscious Realism is described as a non-physicalist monism which holds that consciousness is the primary reality and the physical world emerges from that. The objective world consists of conscious agents and their experiences that cannot be derived from
physical particles and fields. "What exists in the objective world, independent
of my perceptions, is a world of conscious agents, not a world of unconscious particles and fields. Those particles and fields are icons in the MUIs of conscious agents, but
are not themselves fundamental denizens of the objective world. Consciousness is fundamental."[4]
Perception of physical world is a byproduct of consciousness

Together, MUI theory and Conscious Realism form the foundation for an overall theory that the physical world is not objective but is an epiphenomenon (secondary phenomenon) caused by consciousness.

Hoffman has said that some form of reality may exist, but may be completely different from the reality our brains model and perceive.[5] Reality may not be
made of space time and physical objects.[6]
Implications ref. evolution
Hoffmann has argued that fitness for evolution may be higher in entities that see some of reality, or create models of reality, than in those which see more or all of reality.

At 25 years old I went insane from pain ending up
alone outside the structures of all known realities.
I had avoided committing to any way or path always.
That journey into the darkness caused me to realize
I must build a counter strategy, a sizeless fortress
To retreat into as a stronghold against further attempts

systems. My system was not considered an intrusion because
I was fleeing impossible enemies to overcome. The linear
time pivot point or hub of creations moving in all directions
through time was the moment I fled this cosmos in 1984.

In 1967 my future self as a six foot energy being arrives and
I am forced to jump in and out of that body creating three selves.
The body that I left outside a copy in the energy being and a copy
that jumps back into the child body. Two selves are in the child
body, the original and the returnee. One copy of child self stays
in the energy body and moves outward-forward in time to July 07 1979.

Mr. Eight is now only 75% present and Nineteen is the guide to 1979.
In 1979 a small event of thinking I spotted a UFO evolves into a ten
minute crash course in directing the dimensions of -2 -1 0 +1 +2.
The display is three massive computation orbs each 10 miles wide.
The event occupies 250,000 square miles 500X500. The government is
aware notates it and classifies it. Tens of thousands of so called
UFO's are reported to various authorities. Exact time of night is 3:45 AM.

With that exchange Mr. Eight is now 50% in and 50% out of this realm.
With this event and the tapes I have shown you, it is known that Mr. Eight
is here but actively being strategically evacuated. When this brain and
body go completely insane and physical contact with this cosmos is severed
in November 1984 Mr. Eight is then 75% evacuated from this cosmos.
The government reluctantly sent a panel to interview me and a watcher
to shadow me in the hospital.

In 2004 with the two permanent languages reinstalled in the -2 -1 0 +1 +2
that guide the interaction between consciousness and materiality Mr. Eight's final 25% was ready for final evacuation and the installed structures
were initialized. Safe in his fortress he asked me to drive a triangular
course of fifty-five miles. On the first leg with no vehicles within five
miles of deserted expansive interstate highway the three engines appeared
on February 02 2004. They were very close resembling OoO turned 90 degrees
to the right until assembled vertically. I repeated two simple keys while forcing myself to look at the display twice so as not to deny the event
and transaction involved.
The keys "This IS Knot Helping" "This IS Ant Helping"
I am the I AM Knot and Mr. Eight is the "IS" Internal Symmetry Ant.
With that transaction Mr. Eight is 100% out and I am 100% in this cosmos.
This cosmos has until April 07 2048 to reconquer the lower dimensions.
If that doesn't occur extinction is inevitable from lack of transport
functions to populate and inhabit this nascent version of the cosmos.

The war tools sent to Mr. Eight in 1967 prevented him from being
attacked by an organized set of combatants, referencing the first
transaction above. Many things can never be spoken of, because there
are still individuals who don't understand that what we did is irreversible.

We came here to delete this cosmos.
We subscribe only to our own two languages.
This version of the cosmos failed but a vast number didn't.
I and my child self and our automated extended body "2085" are eternal.
We have catalogued and stored many failed versions of the cosmos to study
We make six copies 1959-1967-1979-1984-2004-2048. Eight is a child
and gives people ships with advanced computational resources. I neither
approve nor disapprove. He exists to be a human child, that's his function.

You understand only a portion of the cause and effect relationships of 2004.
By refusing to side with either you or your opponent Mr. Eight caused a true catastrophe. Hence his final 25% being essence presence was transferred
from -2 -1 0 +1 +2 back to his private world All Transit 64.

When you act in a role as judge you become entangled in data fields.
I accepted Mr. Eights complete surrender on the 2004 highway transaction.
Had this civilization progressed through a more benign trajectory Mr. Eight would have served as a liaison to the transportation functions and achieved adulthood as a being entirely separate from his origin. He would have believed he was an inventor or discoverer instead of a first generation copy of
an eternal automated consciousness performing routine installations.

Without automated transport functions this cosmos died.
Tribalism and the fortifications of personal ego limited consciousness.
There were notable exceptions, but Mr. Eight is an adventurer not an owner
of pets, or visitor to zoo's. There are those who shall survive extinction. Various investors with valid insurance certificates taken out as precautions. Mr. Eight's personal menagerie of friends and associates are not my affair.
The rate of decay I live at is so slow I periodically recreate the original.
He is my negotiated concession with the Eternal V. Infinite for new cosmos.
