i would think that long time meditators would
slip into a WILD without much trouble. They
already know how to get to silence and they
know how to sit still and relax. What else
is there? Why didn't i ever go in to a dream
while i was meditating?? Fuck knows i've done
it a thousand times at least. Maybe i just was
not relaxed enough. Last night in the hot tub
man i got really relaxed for some reason. I
    guess everything was just right.

well since i'm a vet with lucid dreaming now,
i know what to look for when dreaming. You
can't miss it after all these years. It
surprised the fuck out of me. And the fact
that i could get that relaxed excites the
hell out of me. The command to relax is
to just rest. Rest is all you need.

    ### - meditators can 'indeed' WILD far more easily due to the discipline they've cultivated via it, but only IF you consider doing it! fact is
everyone can WILD but has just never realised (or been told) that they
can! effectively then, we been screening it out!

iow: me too for years and no sign of a WILD! which just goes to show how
much we really ARE in control of our perception albeit completely unconsciously/routinely! - open yourself to the idea, however, and it's immediately right there at your fingertips to play with?? (i.e., what
'else' may be lurking right there at our fingertips too only we never
look, or even know to look because no one told us about it? tons probably
    hah!)

obviously then, we've been trained to routinely perceive in certain ways
only, while deliberately screening other things/options out! (something cc
also got completely right btw, albeit in the slightly different/altered
    context of 'seeing')

if a WILD ever started happening to us (which must have happens 100's of
times) we'd always immediately + expertly compensate to suppress it from
going any farther and write it off as 'daydreaming' hah! (little did we
suspect tho' just we could do/achieve with/via that daydreaming huh?)

stop daydreaming you! sit up! pay attention! don't go wandering off! like
how many times have we all heard/been exposed to such prods eh?

basically then, we've effectively been 'banned' from WILDing... until now!

well welcome back son! whoo-hoo! let's all stop being wallyjobs for a
    change eh?

(might take 150 years is the only problem though coz 'humanity' is slow!)
    :)

    ### - just for the record & out of interest's sake; how would you describe
the 'quality' of a WILD compared to say any normal lucid dream? was it,
for example, brighter/clearer and/or more immediate would you say? would
you say the perceptual difference between them is definitely distinct in
some manner? and could you, for example, be able tell a WILD from a dild
    just from the experience alone?

my personal experience suggests there's an obvious qualitative difference existing between them, a no-bones-about-it obviously striking difference,
as well as one's resulting state of mind/awareness during them (e.g., am
'more' like my normal self when WILDing than when dildo-ing...)

    cheers :)

Ah too soon for me to say. Let me get a few under my belt then
    perhaps i could say more.

I need to go for a few minutes like i do in a lucid dream.

    ### - ya coward! (j/k...) ;)

you've had 3 by now plus would have easily settled just for your
    first/initial impressions etc...

personally think/observe there's an immediately noticeable perceptual difference, added to which one IS fully awake (iow: experiencing 'full' lucidity) which makes for quite a difference - that even only the first
couple of times (or even perhaps expressly because of that...) the
'reality' of it all was such + so convincing that i kept doubting i was
still actually dreaming a couple of times and had to prove it to myself by doing something that can only be done IN dreams, such as rising into the
air, a kinda reality-checking in-reverse just to make sure i was still in
fact dreaming heh... and so real-like and 'unlike' a dream it was
literally like being in another world!?

now, of course, i know it's another world hehehe... just as real as this
one... something which raises the question of if the daily world is 'also'
    a dream, perceptually speaking...

and if ya think 'that' was good, just wait till ya gets to the 'midway
point' (heh!) you've already been there 3 times already but haven't yet
noticed passing through that midway area is all, but it'll come eventually
once you get-used to lucid dreaming this way/not so enthralled by the
newness of it... a few more times only maybe, and then the real fun +
    total control begins ;)

so it looks like the trail has gone cold now with
the shooter and girlfriend. Nothing much new to

The darkest hour is right before the dawn.
shit if i'm not careful i'll be eatin' that

Well the eating of crow is all hypothetical and good fun here on the
internet. Faux bets and all that.

However, the mystery really does deepen and it fascinates me.

"Hopefully, the investigation in Las Vegas will turn up something
clarifying soon. Otherwise, how will Americans come to terms with the
most deadly mass shooting in the country’s history… being perpetrated
by a man with no clear motive?"

"The fact that a man could plan one of the worst mass murders in
American history and do so without leaving the typical trail of clues
and intentions is deeply unsettling. Time and again when mass shooters
strike, they leave a trail of bread crumbs — whether they’re
deteriorating mentally or radicalizing (or both), the warning signs
are often obvious and warnings have often been given. Not this time."

The only hope for a motive really is an abnormality in the brain. I
don't think there's much left because he took a round through the
palate (from the pic). They will be looking for amyloid plaque
(dementia), bleeds, aneurysms etc - but the coroner already said the
brain was clear after a normal post mortem.

    Let's see what happens next.
