imho, this particular story is 'very' important, particularly the mode of non-violent sit-in protests it clearly highlights, that actually changed things!

for me personally, it's all very simple... i love jazz! i 'appreciate'
jazz!

and so if i ever caught some deranged fucker interfering with say the
likes of john coltrane or charlie parker, i WOULD have to intervene! i'd
HAVE to! it would be totally unacceptable to stand by and say nada
otherwise!

and if john coltrane then why not his brother or sister too? his kids or
his friends! or anyone black OR white if it's unjustified come to that!
