### - i remember early stories somewhere of old mick (of rolling stones
fame) traveling to the 'deep south' to learn the blues first-hand from
some of the black peeps there, which is actually yet just another example
of the exploitation of those former slaves, this time ripping them off for their 'suffering-soul' music spontaneously developed over decades of being under the white-slavers lash?
The only thing that often kept them going being to sing their negro
spiritual songs while working that became gospel songs, that became blues,
that became jazz, and that finally became rock & roll in (and at) the
hands of honky?
slave music! which is WHY even we 'white slaves' all love it too in it's varying forms & versions!
we literally OWE all our best music TO the suffering OF those african
slaves!
else it's all back to perry como and dean martin folks hehe, oh and
probably the singing nun as well? lol :)
yes peeps, we ALL owe an awful lot to them!
the sheer hypocrisy + irony of all those on the far-right loving their
rock music notwithstanding? hah! ;)
