### - saw this movie on tv today, some old b/w sci-fi b-movie, the only
reason even watched it at all being that i'd never seen it before (being a
bit of film-buff have prolly seen most old british movies)

...and wasn't even that much interested in it really, until the main plot
came out early on re: what these scientists are actually trying to do, is
to travel around the universe and visit other worlds, not via rockets & spaceships, but via mentally 'projecting' oneself in some manner whereby
you'd actually end up there? this is what caught my attention anyhow
haha...

so anyway, the plot develops into one guy speculating: what if someone out there, aliens or whatever presumably, other living beings, had already
learned to do this and were thus already coming to visit us??

it starts to get a bit daft from here on in, in that this woman one of
them met on holiday turns out to be one of these visiting aliens, whose
mission here it becomes revealed, is to kill these scientists in order to
stop them making this very same discovery... (they consider we're still
too primitive to have such abilities, see?)

in the end it's revealed that these particular aliens have been here for
20 years, deliberately working in places where they can do-away with
anyone getting near to discovering this ability, a couple of these aliens
dying because it's discovered that they have to use an inordinate amount
of energy/power to cohesively maintain their human form once they're here
and they use this against them...

this odd movie being made back in 1963, and was presumably written even
sooner, it bears a strange resemblance to WILDing (or perhaps astral
projecting then) does it not?

it was weird anyway, quite unearthly, as the title suggests... the
twilight zone music defo playing in my head slightly when the main plot
was revealed haha; suddenly i was really listening to it all-ears lol
(like wtf 'is' this??) :)))

i guess they didn't really have a more interesting end back in those times though, but could definitely think of a few now! :)
