Scores of Londoners have been pictured in parks basking in the weekend
sunshine despite Government orders to stay at home to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Boris Johnson has repeatedly urged the country not to give in to the “fine weather” to help save lives during the pandemic.

“Don’t be tempted to meet friends at the park this weekend,” he tweeted on
Saturday morning. “Do your bit to protect the NHS and save lives by
    staying at home.”

But photos of Hampstead Heath, Battersea and Greenwich park show people
laying down in the sunshine, even though sunbathing is not listed among “essential” activities.

Under the UK lockdown, Brits can only leave the house if they are key
workers travelling to their jobs, shopping or health essentials, or for exercise once a day.

Although walking is allowed under daily exercise if at least two meters
away from others, scores of people were seen breaking lockdown rules by
    laying down in parks.

Pictures also emerged on Saturday of a large group of cyclists in London exercising close together, also defying Government advice.

Forces across the country have the power to issue fines and punishments if
they see people making non-essential journeys this weekend, including to beaches and other outdoor hotspots.

The warnings come two weeks after pictures emerged of overcrowded beauty
spots and beaches across the UK, just days after the Prime Minister
    introduced the first social-distancing measures.

Authorities in Wales have closed beach-side car parks to deter people from “using the weather to treat what is a national crisis like a national holiday”.

Mark Thomas, cabinet member for highways and infrastructure at Swansea
Council, said: “We absolutely cannot afford a repeat of the behaviour witnessed on previous occasions.”

Dorset Council has taken the same approach, and the council has closed
seafront parking bays and stopped the RNLI patrol in an attempt to prevent people from gathering at the seaside.

One chief has said officers would “explain” and “encourage” people to stick to the rules, but would enforce with fines and punishments if people
    were not listening.

Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer, from Devon and Cornwall Police, told BBC Breakfast: “When we come to enforcement, that really is a last resort because, in a way, if we come to enforcement, then everybody has failed to understand the significance of this endeavour.

“It’s not just visitors, even within my 4,000 square miles I’ve got my own
population that really just want to jump in the car and travel.

“They want to go to the moors, they want to go to the beaches.”

He described this weekend as “a time to remember the importance of stay at home and save lives”.

The senior officer added: “If a £60 ticket makes you do something, and 684 people dying yesterday didn’t, then I think you’ve got to take a good look at yourself as to whether you realise the seriousness and significance of
    where we are.”

    ### - they obviously *don't* realise it here; are not 'awake-enough' then
to appreciate the current danger nor the risks they take just by stepping outside the door! - have see whole families just: 'out for a fucking
stroll' in the sunshine LOL, some wearing masks but mostly not, kids
playing + touching everything with their bare hands, plus more cyclists & joggers than have ever seen at any one time; all just milling around willy-nilly hah! :)))

that if this shite was as deadly as say ebola with its 80% fatality rate,
this whole country would be almost dead by now??

and, with the weekend weather here going to be really nice for a change,
it's unlikely to improve the situation any either!

accordingly then, it's rather easy to imagine/predict just how our
government is likely gonna react to all this blatant flouting of advice,
is gonna be 'forced' to react in the name of public safety etc, and thus
crack down on it once and for all with some kinda far more stricter
    enforcement regime altogether?

they's even gonna try and have our 'queen' get the message across today
(she's only given 4 such public addresses since the end of ww2) although i doubt they'll listen much to her either heh, in which case (and
particularly after this coming fine weekend) some kinda far more 'formal' curfew is likely to be imposed, and because no-way can they say oh well
fuck it then and just let peeps do what they want?

putting the block on peeps being allowed out for a walk/exercise will
prolly be first (which is what appears to be causing all the problems
anyway) possibly followed by stricter shopping hours for different age
groups, anyone in the wrong group(s) caught outside at the wrong time
    being arrested & fined...

the last and final turn of that screw being full/partial curfews of
whatever description and parameter, who knows! maybe even full martial law eventually!

meanwhile, we're expecting it to peak here over the next 2-weeks, current deaths of 708 yesterday alone set to double every 3 days so that in 2
weeks time it could easily be around the 22,000 per day mark?? (yak)

or... we'll instead (hopefully) see that figure flattening-out some and
start dropping again - as one doesn't have to be a genius to figure what
22,000 could potentially multiply into to over a further 2 weeks if
doubled 5 times again after that huh (= 700,000 per day! yikes!)

    so they've GOT to something!
