### - It could be said, that the subconscious mind is merely the sum-total
of every experience, memory & thought that you've had, and/or have ever
been exposed to in any & every imaginable type & form from the moment of
birth and possibly even back some a little more?
The reams of finer details of which is similar, if not exactly the same,
as that any hypnotist can apparently regress people into remembering; the
look and smell of a room from 30 years ago, for example, the pattern of
the curtains and what carpet or rug was on the floor, even the clothes you
& others were wearing at the time + what you & others perhaps all thought
& felt about it; a veritable universe of forgotten details that were all taken-in in a glance at the time and then apparently forgotten forever,
only they're not?
Thus, in a lucid dreaming state, we appear to then have some kind of
direct access to that storehouse of forgotten memories. One is not,
however, a passenger like someone under hypnosis is and that's being
actively directed, but in the actual driving seat itself and thus in full control of what you're going to enquire about next & do!
i.e., Ask about 'anything' in dreaming, anything at all, and we seem to
have an immediate answer to that question! And considering the vast
resource + wealth of hidden/forgotten information now suddenly available
to us under such circumstances, those answers are often quite novel & surprising, if not downright astounding! Startling ideas & novel concepts
one might have never even consciously ever thought about before, are now
flying in flocks above your head and just waiting to be looked at/examined!
Plus, do you think, that this experience is then possibly what older texts
& cultures could have perhaps been referring to as being an
'Akashic-record' for instance?
i.e.:
In theosophy and anthroposophy, the Akashic records are a compendium of
all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have
occurred in the past, present, or future. They are believed by
theosophists to be encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as
the etheric plane --google
Past & present definitely! Although the stuff about the future is still uncertain heh ;)
But is still (barring the future bit anyway) a remarkably similar
description of the WILDing, or 'any' lucid dreaming, experience is it not?
A situation in which we seem to know everything, including things we never
even suspected we knew??
Perforce a better/fuller education and resulting better-stocked mind, is perhaps, even better still to be starting out from, but even just the
average person in the street actually has a wealth of untapped information
of just about every conceivable subject bubbling away there under the
surface like a volcano, and yet wholly inaccessible to them otherwise
unless they just so happened to be born with say the likes of a
photographic memory...
What say you fellow explorers & philosophers? ;)
