broken, not everyone can take the whatever-programming involved in

sweep the damaged & broken ones under the carpet and say no more about it,
yet some of those damaged & broken ones might have made superb artists or musicians or whatever, but round pegs HAVE to go into all those square
holes come what may and that's it + too bad if ya gets fucked up in the process, there's always plenty more!
(am defo being a bit cynical here, but it's also the absolute truth...)
i.e., take some maybe slightly more sensitive kid and force him down the
mines, a moron might be able to put up with all that punishment and not
complain, maybe even do it for a whole lifetime and survive, but someone
like van gogh, for example, would likely have a terrible problem with
