### - oh well another day of hard slog over heh, and only the one winner (allmankind)
also had a go at the football charts today, they go nuts here over
football at the weekends hah...
the idea being to accumulate a number of, what looks to be, winning teams,
each match being like a 3-horse race that can either win, lose or draw...
obviously, some teams have a greater chance of winning depending on whom
their playing against, a high ranking team playing against a bunch of
nobodys, usually showing odds-on sp's...
the idea then being to accumulate all these blatant 'bankers' till they
start showing some good numbers...
today, for example, i picked 14 teams, all 'should-be' winners for one
good reason or another (e.g., playing against a far lesser team on their
own home ground) some of the odds for these teams being really low, like
4/11 and shit?
nevertheless, at 14 teams the numbers were now accumulating to around 600+
to one, and with the free bet-boost added this took it out to 980/1!
i put 1 on it anyway heh, a pound gets ya 1000 seemed like a fair bet?
anyway, only 8 of them won, the other 6 being a mixture of losses &
draws...
didn't win then heh, but it was still a good bet! all those teams should
have won! they were absolutely all, effectively, the best horse (the
odds-on fav) each time in a 3-horse race!
it's unusual for a top ranking team to lose to a far lower ranking team
innit, 2 top teams against each other more likely resulting in maybe a
draw or an unpredictable win from either side because they're both well matched, but in ill-matched teams the better team should win!
that's the theory anyway heh...
and didn't work today at any rate lol
but it's still a bet i like + sometimes ya only needs 10 or 12 top teams
to make up similar good or even better numbers!
all ya needs to win is one weekend outta the year when all the 'top' teams you've picked brings home the bacon? (there's always about 60 or 70
matches to choose from every saturday here, so not limited for choice)
and it's a cheap bet :)
