i would say that position (where you are at) is everything.
Your 'set' moreso than your 'setting' is critical.
Being in the proper position makes life easy and effortless.
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time, etc etc can be
a horror. Here's to Dr. John, must be the right place, right time.
### - the 'wrong place' in that sense is where mankind is lodged in the
daily world with his head jammed up his own projections to the point
that's all he sees and is aware of ;)
non of them are outsiders for instance, they's all 'insiders' taking the difficult & often tragic story of their lives for real and as being final,
as being the only reality there is when it's all, in fact, only a cultured/crafted reality instead of the way things really + actually are
(the suffering is real but their ideas about reality are not)
thus we have unsuspected abilities that we never consciously use (we use
it but are not aware we're doing so, it's all been rationalised into
looking like something else, e.g., hallucinations are an illness instead
of just being hypnagogia, sleep is an unconscious state instead of being
an aware one, and we often feel alone & isolated instead of being aware of being in direct contact with the rest of a wider universe...)
iow: we're not well haha, and we lost the plot somewhere along the way to
the point we no longer really know what we're doin', yeah we're all acting
on a bunch of 'social ideas' but it's all crap! it kinda functions in a dreadful kinda way but doesn't relate to the real world!
whereas, from an outsider's pov the world is a very different place;
there's a bigger picture!
as it stands, the human race is like a bunch of feral kids who somehow missed-out on the cultural references that makes for a more
inclusive/wider (and thus wiser) pov...
we're retarded! :)))
(line from the movie idiocracy: "it's not a problem, some of my best
friends are 'tards and they live perfectly happy lives!")
hahaha :)
