aboard #8. this is a 100,000 dollar race.
if this kid wins this race it will be huge.

it's worth a small bet, and @ 14/1 it's almost worth betting for a place
too, but wont...

unfortunately, can't get an advance sp on the second one until tomorrow
(they do shit like that here with us racing for some unknown reason; no
advance prices until a couple of hours before the actual race) so a double can't be on the cards, but would have defo done a 50p or £1 win double on
those 2 otherwise...

but for only a fiver as didn't bother covering him for a place/show as
well, it doubles the bet...

i.e., only cover them for a place/show if their odds are really high
(minimum 20/1)

matey would have only paid 1/5th of the full odds for a place = 2.8 + the
stake = 3.8

3.8 x £5 = £19, so a £5 win/place would have cost £10 and only paid £19 (returns less than evens money overall) so didn't bother + only lost a
fiver...

not complaining as he won last time out, bringing me $117 for a fiver!

so am still well-up in his case ;)

will have a go on your inlaws' one today just to test the water, was a non-runner last time out so is still an unknown quantity, but in reality
it's you am backin' not the horse haha :)
