having thus been made/forged at that point with some kind of irrefutable 'inner-knowing'; one that appears to be as self-evident and as clear-cut
as one's ability to peddle a bike! the 'incidental' ability to be able to
step into & out of a fully lucid dream at will running completely second
to this, and from which pov is clearly only one single thing one is then capable of doing alongside a score of other as yet unknown things to
boot...
that, from the pov of this midway point position & its resulting
inner/silent knowledge, the daily world looks and seems like a very
different place indeed, everything examined appears in a new light, often seemingly profoundly so; ask anything about it and you'll receive a
sometimes astoundingly novel answer, the resulting 'knowledge' imho being
more the result of seeing things from a novel angle wherein the answer
then seems obvious, one only ever obscured in 'waking' reality by an
apparent obsession to having everything under the rubric and dicta of
reason alone, something which has apparently already made up its mind in-advance as to how things are supposed to be while dismissing everything else...
that it's this 'Midway Point' that is ultimately interesting in all this;
that while WILDing appears, on the surface, to be only about a faster &
more reliable means of obtaining a lucid dream (which it certainly is & is
what everyone wants after all...) it also inevitably leads one to
discovering this midway point position/place in awareness and all it/that entails too! yes everyone is currently only going-for the lucid dreaming
aspect of it alone, and they'll find it too! but they'll also then
subsequently discover that this midway point, which many perceptually
describe as being a dark/black void, is actually behind it all...
i.e., we briefly cross this void every single time we either enter into or
out of a lucid dreaming situation, one's sole intention to experience a
lucid dream initially taking precedence to the point of then hardly
noticing it at all, and then only sometimes noticing it, and then noticing
it enough to begin wondering what it is etc etc...
e.g., one can be lying in bed perfectly awake and yet also be standing at
that midway point at the same time even though one's 'adopted' pov is that
of laying in bed (note i said: adopted) the result of which is a seemingly transition-less movement into a full lucid dreaming scenario in the blink
of an eye; the typical experience of those using the wbtb method, for example, and which this now explains...
iow: this midway point/dark void awareness is actually a lot closer to us
than we think!
it's closer to us than lucid dreaming is for example!
and it really doesn't take much to access it either!
once you realise/acknowledge it's there of course heh ;)
