    You must distinguish between weather and climate. My uncle who has a
    farm in croatia told me that all the crops are harvested nowadays 1
    months earlier than when he was young!

    or is maybe the result of the seeds for those crops being genetically
    modified to mature earlier?

    or just a combination of modern farming techniques & better fertilisers
