One says Vit D and omega oils are ineffective for heart health and
cancer. The other says these compounds are effective for heart
health.

Which one to believe?

My view? Neither, but the NY Times is closer to the mark. Both Vit D
*and* omega oil supplements are useless for heart disease and for
cancer.

This world is plagued by bullshit. The need to read is paramount, and
read widely and closely. And be always thinking.

Look having a conversation with you is impossible. However, you are under-rating USA quality of produce. Nobody, and I mean nobody, makes
personal weapons (long arms, small arms and knives) like the USA.
There is even a cottage industry in both firearms and edged weapons
which is unique globally. And of the highest quality.

Nobody makes microelectronics like the USA - think Intel, AMD, ARM
etc. Nobody makes 5th gen combat aircraft like the USA, ballistic
weaponry, commercial aircraft (Boeing) etc.

Unfortunately the Japanese have taken over as preeminent vehicle
manufacturers now, beating both US and German vehicles for quality.
However, again, for ultra-large SUVs like the Hummer and so on,
there's nobody like the US.
