I understand. I don't trust you either. You don't even get how
rational discussion is supposed to work. A 'counter-argument'
for a dozen well-reasoned points seems to you something like:
"I ain't buyin it". Well, I ain't buying that, and no one should.
Actually, in his rough and tough way, he *does* make sense. He's
ex-military and they call a shovel a spade, no time for bullshit.
What he feels he tends to get out in the open and there's not much
point in pretending to misunderstand him as far as I can see. I'm
much the same way except I grew up with ex-military father, wasn't one
myself - fuck ambiguity, get it out and open and fuck
misinterpretation.
I would trust Chris. I don't think he is the type to stab you in the
back, he'll put the knife in right in front and tell you why he's
doing it too. You can be a bit mealy mouthed sometimes though, let's
face it.
And if he can digest a raft of words with the laconic statement "I
ain't buyin it", what's the difference between that and a two page
booklet with the same conclusion? You just want the grounds rather
than just the outcome - but if you're smart enough, you'll see the
other guys argument as well as him and you won't need him to spell it
out for you. Therefore, "I ain't buyin it" is perfectly ok.
