    Mattis warns of high alert

BREAKING: North Korea has been observed moving a missile into position for
a possible launch, with the US saying its forces are on high alert.

Officials have told US media that spy satellites have observed DPRK mobile missile launcher movement, indicating a intermediate-ballistic missile
    launch may be being prepared.

The report comes as US Secretary of Defence James Mattis warns any further escalation could rapidly lead to war: “Yes that means for a lot of young troops they’re going to be in a wartime situation”.

Such intermediate missiles do not have the capacity to reach the mainland United States, but can reach the US military bases of Guam and Japan.

Mattis told reporters in Washington this morning the situation could
    escalate to war”very quickly”.

He said it could be assessed “within moments” if a missile fired from
North Korea was on track to hit Guam, and that “we will take it out,” in that situation.

If missiles were fired at US bases: “then it’s game on ... I think if they fire at the US it could escalate to war very quickly.”

    ### - dunno how 'reliable' this is coming, as it does, from some cheap
    ozzy rag hah!

and it might (hopefully) just be a wind-up on nk's part? (keep everyone on their toes!)

but if they launch and it's NOT just another more 'usual' test of their
shit that basically doesn't go anywhere or do anything, and it/they
instead fly towards guam; then this could be it!

'high alert' indeed! (can you just picture/imagine the full-readiness
tension currently in war-rooms everywhere? all systems worldwide on high alert?? damn! the very edge of the precipice!)

just don't go gettin' no itchy trigger-fingers there lads, okaaay?

Guam radio stations accidentally air emergency alert amid North Korea
    threat

After a week of threats from North Korea aimed at Guam, residents on
Tuesday thought the worst when two radio stations accidentally broadcast
    an emergency civil danger warning.

The two stations, a music channel and a Christian network, alerted
listeners at 12.25am local time of an unspecified danger near Guam. Civil danger broadcasts are rare and are used to warn civilians of an imminent threat, such as a military strike or terrorist attack. The warning lasted
only 15 minutes and officials later stressed that a real emergency message would describe the type of threat.

“The unauthorised test was not connected to any emergency, threat or warning,” Guam’s homeland security office said in a statement, adding it had worked with the radio stations to “ensure the human error will not
    occur again”.

Residents and tourists on Guam have been anxious for the last week after
North Korea detailed a specific plan to fire four missiles into the waters around the US territory, which is home to 162,000 people and hosts two
    military bases..

    ### - whole bunch of extra toilet tissue and clean-ups was just ordered
    for guam?

    pffffffftttt! :)))

I gave it a probability of 60% a few days ago and now I would give it
a probability, even long term, of less than 30% (actually, .30 to be
pedantic). It's been sorted. Both he and Trump got what they wanted.
And some excellent back room diplomacy took place while the strong
    words were exchanged.

If Hillary had been elected, the US and DPRK would be at war right
now. HRC is, and was, a war monger. I don't think Trump is and
that's what's really, really important which most of you in the US are
too fucking close to the man to see.
