NORTH Korea’s border has been flooded with tanks and howitzers amid fears
    of war with the US.

Kim Jong-un has taunted the world after detonating a hydrogen bomb on
    Sunday.

His nearest neighbour, South Korea, has responded with carrying out
live-fire military exercises in preparation for war with Kim.

Tanks and other heavy weapons have now been moved to the nation’s frontier with the rogue state.

Soldiers and vehicles carried out drills just a stone’s throw from the wasteland, known as the DMZ, which separates the North and South.

Today, South Korea confirmed they have signed a deal with the US to obtain
more weapons to fend off Kim.

The DMZ which separates the two states is 160 miles long, but 2.5 miles
wide, and has been militarised since the end of the Korean War.

Kim remains at war with Seoul as no peace treaty was signed at the end of
    the Korean War in 1953.

The rogue nation has thousands of artillery guns trained on their rivals
to the south, and have repeatedly threatened to turn Seoul into a “sea of fire”.

Some call it one of the scariest places on Earth; others view it more as a tourist spot. This is an inside view of the demilitarized zone separating
the two Koreas in Paju, South Korea

Trump today announced he had signed a deal to ship more weapons to South
    Korea.

He wrote on Twitter: “I am allowing Japan & South Korea to buy a substantially increased amount of highly sophisticated military equipment
    from the United States.”

It emerged last week Seoul is drawing up plans to kill or capture Kim
Jong-un if North Korea “crosses the line”.

Pyongyang has ratcheted up tensions this year with their missile tests and first nuclear detonation since last September.

Nations of the world condemned the explosion in a fiery emergency meeting
    of the UN Security Council.

US ambassador Nikki Haley said Kim is “begging for war” and added “our country’s patience is not unlimited”.

    ### - it's creeping ever-nearer? no signs of a diplomatic solution in
