I'm not quite sure what all you're trying to convey in this post.
The 'Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act' was
bi-partisan. It was passed in 2016 (yes, under Obama, but also
under a Republican Congress, and with a Senate vote of 92-7.)
Doesn't it seem like a good idea? Not sure they've done nearly enough
with it yet. Actually, seems like they've barely gotten started
with any meaningful implementation of protections. And it seems pretty disconnected from 'Mockingbird'.
As for Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, and Google... yeah, those can all be dangerous forces. Twitter, Facebook, and Google for me are primarily
social networks, while Amazon was heavily commercial. I've decided
to STOP supporting Amazon altogether, and I've been known to be highly
critical of many things Google and Facebook do. But Amazon is probably
the worst. They're not playing out to be a positive social force.
I've ended up disagreeing with too many things that they do, so now
I refuse to do business with them and encourage others to do likewise.

Bezos is an example of what corporate leaders shouldn't be doing.
(Unless like Trump, you're in love with greed and competitiveness
and nothing more.)
