went to the angel v. dodgers game last night
at Anaheim Stadium. Son of a bitch it was
107 degrees at gametime (7:00 PM) .
Dodgers blew it in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Fuck was it hot watching that game. angels
won 3-2 .

i.e., have isolated the above remark for attention & comment...
why? because it stands on it's own, and/or could even be (and has been)
the subject of another thread etc...
it doesn't detract from anything you said that led up to it, isn't even in >direct reference to it so the 'context' in which it was originally stated >doesn't actually matter/need not be included, and isn't done ignorantly >either but as in-humour to previous conversations re global warming, a >completely different subject :)

At least you kept the thread. Unlike some.

There is very little evidence where I live, in the southwest corner of Australia, of global warming. Here, it is quite the reverse - more
rain, more temperate summers and colder winters. Things are green
here, growing like the fucking jungle and I should know, I was born in
far north Queensland, well in the tropics.
Perhaps an anomaly, who knows? In the east of Australia, there is
another drought. But then again, we are the driest continent too.

I don't think we could say that global warming due to anthropic causes
is an "old debate". Especially in view of the temperatures you are
feeling, right now, in London, and the burning of the Arctic Circle,
and the deaths in Portugal, and the fires in California...
We are having one of the wettest winters here in my memory of this
place (40+ years) and we typically have more rain here than London.
It's fucking raining all the time here. Pain in the arse...

### - yeah, it did get a bit warm there - for about a week lol - now
it's-mid august (peak of our summer here) and the temp has dropped again
to around a high today of only: 19c with showers and is quite windy, plus
60+ years ago i was apparently born in a similar 'heat-wave'; only now
they call it global fucking warming?? gimmie a break already! haha!
look, we're apparently living in a warm period (the last 10,000 years)
right in the middle of a major ice age, so fluctuations in mean-temp are
to be expected... and any minute now the whole warm period is likely to
end and freeze back over for the next 100,000 years if anything hehehe...
and so what we gonna call that then: anthropic cooling??
same tax markup btw just different excuses for the hike lol
King of denialism.
