And then we'll go on our understanding ways

    Good luck, dream on

The president he gonna start laughin'
Pass to the general a toke
All the world bigshots gonna lay down their guns
And say "hey folks, it was all just a joke!"

    [spoken with jazzy fingersnapping:]

    Bombs & stuff?
    Droppin' on you?
You know we would'n' do that to you
    We're the leaders-of-the-world
    We're the real cool guys
We're elected, respected, we try to be wise

We're not gonna drop a bunch a' bombs on everybody,
    blow up the whole world

Over some little political difficulty or border dispute or somethin'

Us leaders-of-the-world we'r' like all you people

us' to sit back, relax, take it easy....

You know how that goes? Time goes along... things change, you wake

Up some mornin'g 'n' you realize that you're jus' out of it

I find mysel' at some friend's apartment it'd be a nice spring day,
    little birds

Be singin' in the trees?... All my friends, they be sittin' aroun'

Inside... They was gittin' kinda out of it too, I guess, but, seemed

To be workin' out awright for 'em... They be sittin' aroun' in a

Little apartment watchin' TV, you know, on a nice spring day...

They'd be watchin' like reruns of "Three's Company", stuff like

That... They be laughin', you know, jus' havin' a great time. I

Didn' get it... So I knew I must be kinda outta sync, 'n' outta

Swing... I need a little bit a' help

Well, jus' luckily for me, the great Swami, Prisnidadirapi was comin'

Through town... (I think he was on his way up to Boulder, Colorado, or

Somewhere.) He was givin' a li'l advice as he went by 'n' I went to see

The guy... 'n' in so many words I said to him: "Swami, I'm in bad shape

Here... An' I heard you got the true knowledge, which you c'ld give

To me, which w'ld clear up all my doubts and difficulties, 'n' git me back

On the track, back in the swing, fully adjusted to life in the 20th

Century... An' the only trouble I heard about, Swami, is you charge

About eight hundred dollars fer the true knowledge... That's all

Right, I mean... I never expected there to be a blue light special on

Enlightenment or anythin' like that, but I... I'm just a guitar player

Your holy Swaminess, an' I was hopin' we could make a deal where... I

Would give you, like, maybe, four hundred dollars... an' I was hopin'

Maybe you would give me, like, jus' maybe half of the true

Knowledge?... Jus' enough to git me by for a month or six weeks at the

Most, 'n' I'll give you the rest of the cash... you give me the rest

Of the knowledge, I'll be enlightened, your pockets'll be a little heavy

We both be doing awright, whaddaya say?"

Well, the Swami, he looked at me from under his heavy-lidded eyes,... his

Mysterious eyes... He smiled at me... That was nuthin' new, you

Know, the Swami was always kinda smiling... Like he knew sumpin'

That you didn't know... Like those people that... they jus'

Levitate jus' a lit'l bit, you know, 'n' they git a little smile on their

    Face...

He smiled... He looked at me 'n' he said:

    "Dream on, little dreamer
    Dream on
This world ain't what you think it is
    It's jus' what it is."

This quiet rain will always continue
Our kids will always think we're great
The world won't keep reeling like a poor drunken fool
Who's lost an' upset an' too late

    Dream on, little dreamers
    Dream on
This world ain't what you think it is
This world ain't what you wish it was
    Naw, the world

    ### - nah it's an against-all-odds hobby in which losing is the norm heh :)

i.e., the whole human race is on a losing streak but can occasionally
still pull a fabulous winner out their ass outta nowhere sometimes,
    bucking the trend...

and that's wot it's all about!

    How they’re co-oper-ating ful-ly

They already went beyond what others in their positions had done
before them - in the process possibly even jeopardizing the
safeguards of our justice system, and all just to appease Trump,
and yet it's still not enough, because Trump is a tyrant who's

If so, then you're not paying attention. The informant's name was
leaked to the media 10 days ago. And intentional disclosure of the
identity of a covert FBI agent is a crime under the Intelligence
Identities Protection Act. It's just one more crime likely committed
by a criminal administration that habitually wipes its ass with
the facts, all tradition, the constitution, and the rule of law.

You focus on the unimportant while ignoring what IS important.
Because you're all runnin' scared. The informant was well-justified
and they took great care to keep the acquired information out of
the media prior to the election. Five of the indicted men already
pleaded guilty. Five guilty pleas don't come out of a "witchhunt". :)

This thread title starts with the word "truth". That's the truth.
There were sooo many questionable Russian contacts within this
administration that they're STILL finding new ones a year later,
like just a day or two ago w/ that oligarch who paid Trump's
attorney Cohen $1 million for "inside access". Wake the fuck up.

    ### - you're crazy (or rather: a bit unrealistic then) if ya really don't
think virtually every fuckin' government isn't up to this shit in one way
or another concerning the influencing of other governments, and have been
all along? obviously we have our own people/spies doing exactly the same
to them from within too; influencing elections, businesses, espionage, unseating the opposition + instating their own cronies in their stead,
usurping the power & influence of other governments (else what was the
cold war all about!) plus the bugging of other governments (germany for example!) - it never ends and 'will' continue whether it's all ever made
    public or not!

perforce 'scandal' is a tool they all employ in many ways as in a game of
chess to gain an advantage, both at home & abroad?

    truth?? hah!

no term has been more twisted & distorted in the history of mankind!

don't EVER expect 'truth' from these people and ya can't go too far wrong imho...

truth is not what they're about!

so much so, that just about every existent government would likely be
quickly brought down if the 'truth' of how they gots there + the shit they
get up to ever came out?

and because truth & wallyworld is an oxymoron/contradiction of terms :)

    ### - it's not what i think at all, but then again it's also absolutely no surprise to me either as backhanders, bribery & corruption are all par for
the course in that business heh...

And claiming that politicians are all the same and equally corrupt
is just more bad 'logic'. Obama had real integrity; so did Carter -

(as in obama's case) so as to halt them from doing too much damage to the
    other fucks during their term...

thing is, when even the most honest person on the planet takes such an
office, 95% of their work is already laid out for them to do and there's absolutely nothing they can do to change it, the tiny 5% influence
available to them not ever being enough to ever make any drastic changes
else why isn't the world already a completely different/better place after 8-years of someone as cool as obama??

    simples! they never let him!

It's illegal for representatives of foreign governments to interfere
in US elections. Russia and even the Saudis seemed to be trying
to do just that and contacted people within the Trump campaign
ostensibly for that purpose. The FBI was right to investigate this.

    ### - on paper 'everything's' illegal lol, but when did 'that' ever stop
    'em??

it's also totally illegal for cops (the custodians of the law) to take
    bribes but it still happens?

Thus, the FBI informant was justified, and the investigators

And I repeat: five of the indicted men already pleaded guilty.
Five guilty pleas do not come out of a "witchhunt".

    ### - cops are beyond reproach now?? riiiight...

they're actually some of the worst! (just ask serpico?)

Those 5 people pled guilty as there was evidence that they ARE guilty.

(By contrast, McCabe and Comey never admitted fault and still do
not believe they were at fault, nor has either man been charged
    much less pleaded guilty.)

    ### - political witch hunts are just that: witch hunts! everyone's corrupt
so it's not that difficult to dig up the dirt on just about anyone?
    if/when they want to!

'someone' obviously hasn't been playing ball so they're all turning
against him, probably buying their way out of it/whatever it takes...

The F.B.I. was making an attempt to enforce the rule of law.

    ### - the 'rule of law'?? what a fucking JOKE that is??? are you kidding
    me!

what rule of law??? the one for the rich or the one for the rest of us
    poor slobs?

the rule of law lol... riiiight... :D

That is part of "integrity" in our political system.

    ### - oh fucking hell now you're REALLY making me laff?

integrity in the political system??? fuck me! :))))

    ain't no such animal!

    Trump only
endlessly deflects, lies, spins, and attacks. He is the epitome
of "no integrity" and we've never seen anything half as blatant
    here before.

    ### - sounds like the perfect recipe FOR a politician!

IS the perfect recipe for a politician!

he's not the first and wont be the last either! he's just setting a new standard!

It's not "like any politician". That's totally wrong
and you really ought to know better by now.

    ### - no jeremy, he's merely the 'epitome' of that whole fucking screw up!

merely the 2018 version! (iow: he's ain't called 'trump' for nothing!)

look, i know it's horrible to know/realise that the whole fucking system
    is fucked up!

but it is! REALLY fucked up! even jfk was likely indirectly involved in
    marilyn monroe's death?

imho, obama was the best thing to have ever happened to the US, the real
deal! but he was soon roped & tied up by the political system & his peers! because they CAN DO that if/whenever they needs to!?!

money & power being just about the most corrupt (and corrupting) thing
    there is!

unfortunately it's just the way it/things... is.

Yer Blues - Lennon Clapton Richards Mitchell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iuy-10Ejck4

I've had a couple of friends who were 'taxmen', but that aspect of them certainly was not what attracted me. And whores always really bored me.
(If a chick's mainly in it for the money, it's not even much fun for me.)
And there you put two of my *least* favorite Beatle's songs together
in the same post. Hard to do, and therefore somewhat notable.

'Gimme Some Truth' for that horrible lying sack of shit :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY0xBxDywLA

And a coupla' decent Beatles/Trump medleys for ya:
    Short: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUsGyfrfPbo
    Long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aONTeD4c6pw

LOL. Now THAT'S how you describe the Trumpsky using The Beatles.

And this is yet another aspect of his 'presidential' behavior.

The Weasel Of Oz, Charles Blow:
    http://tinyurl.com/ycnfuh9p

"Demonization of those who are different — in race, religion,
ethnicity, sexual orientation or even conviction — is a
common thread in Trump’s power play."

    Trumpsky's attack on the media:
"I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so when
you write negative stories about me, no one will believe you.”

(even if that was sarcastic, it was totally the truth *for once*...)

    Blow:
"if you still don’t believe that Trump is a racist — and most
people do — then you’re not paying attention, are willfully ignorant,
or are probably a closet racist yourself."

good human beings every one of 'em... & wide awake like you wouldn't
    believe!

I would believe. Yet at the same time, I'd have to say...
if they were really 'wide awake', the crack couldn't get 'em.
I know that's a bit of a hard-nosed opinion. I'm still big on personal responsibility for one's own life. That's one thing even Castaneda
had right (heh). If you ain't got that, then you ain't really 'awake'.

But I know many of those women are fine in their own way. I'm just
not into being 'a client'. In West LA, for 5 years I lived 3 or 4
blocks from a major strip club, and yet I never went there even once,
not even for lunch. That's how little interest I had remaining in
that stuff by the time I was 40. I'd dabbled with it a bit back
in my 20's and decided that I just didn't like it all that much.

Probably the funniest time I ever had with one - besides one time
I took a prudish friend with me to a strip club and he ran out the
door like a scared rabbit 5 seconds after one big girl grabbed my
crotch, LOL - was when a girl stopped me outside a grocery store in
Albuquerque (when I was in college) and propositioned me as I stood
there holding my sack of groceries. I laughed and told her I'd just
spent all my money on food, and I swear she looked longingly at
my groceries and told me maybe we could work something else out -
acting for all the world like she was ready to fuck me for a slice
of my watermelon. :) But the other thing was... I'd ridden a bicycle
2 miles to get there, and it was going to be hard enough to carry
my groceries home without trying to figure out how to get her back
to my place too. I was almost considering it - since I was alone
at the time and she was nasty looking - but I was still laughing,
just imagining trying to carry her home on the back of my bike
along with my sack. Reluctantly, I gave her the needed firmer no.

In Bucharest once, I practically had to wrestle a whore who kept
hanging all over me in the middle of a street (at noon no less
in a crowd of people), trying very unsubtly over and over to rip
my wallet right out of my pants. I damn near had to RUN to get
her off of me, after slapping her hands away two or three times.
And geez, I'd already made it clear my girlfriend wouldn't like
me bringing her back to our hotel. :)

Another time in Albuquerque I got into an extended altercation
(almost a fight) with a half-drunk black guy who was abusing a whore
on a city bus and I decided to take it upon myself to watch over her.
But that's a much longer story. A weird story too. No one got hurt. :)

    all that...

and is also incredibly revealing about human nature to boot!

i.e., difficult circumstances brings out both the best & the worst in
people, but i was only interested in the best and in how 'capable' people
    can be/become under such duress...

many of them took heroin for example, not junkies but just to get by and
to help them maintain their cool etc, not all of them but many did because
it's a very harsh life and anything that actually helps ya cope/survive
gets used! when crack appeared it prolly seemed like a good idea at the
time only it fucked them right up in ways heroin just doesn't? that shit
just destroys everything! even what's left of your good sense! and then ya start robbing people etc, and until all ya want in the end is more & more
of that shit and nothing else! the stronger one's lasted a bit longer but
even they succumbed to its demands in the end and have all disappeared, probably dead now...
