Inicorrect. I'm paid to think. About all sorts of things - from
marketing services to paralegal to financial. My thoughts have dollar
value to independent evaluators and they pay. Always have.

I guarantee you that independent third parties do not assess your
thoughts as having material dollar value.

Now, on to mysticism and eclectic thoughts. Yep, always have done,
always will. I was born questioning my place in this vast and
possibly infinite cosmos full of detail and mystery right down to the infinitesimal and the beauty and wonder of it all. Those thoughts
have no dollar value but in my humble view have much greater
"consequence" (your word) because they are nothing less than my form
of worship of nature (nature is my church, I don't need edifices and
    temples).

I love the way humanity has evolved a brain of such magnificence that
we can question our existence. Analysis has taken us to the moon and
will take us to mars and further. My way of thinking in both modes -
as a living solving real life problems and as a personal journey in my perception of nature - works and both have very much more than what
you call "...very little of any consequence".

The proof is in the pudding old squire :)

Nope. Wrong again, slider. Fuck me, can't you read between the
lines? Kim sees the US as an existential threat to his regime (he has
3 kids now so the heir to the regime and continuation of the dynasty
is assured). Therefore, anything he does is better than simply
ceasing to exist - he believes that sooner or later, the US will
attack anyhow and that will be that.

He has seen what happened to those who *didn't* have nuclear weapons
and were attacked by the US - Iraq and Libya. If Iraq had developed
nuclear weapons, Bush and Blair would not have attacked.

So, he has developed nuclear weapons and the way and means to deliver
them to the US (and the UK and Australia). Like all good salesmen, he
is now advertising the fact. He will not start a war. The US will
not attack him. There will be some more demonstrations of his power
to resist the US, a lot of words exchanged between the two and then
    things will settle.

He is acting from fear of destruction at the hands of the US like Iraq
and Libya. I would do the same in his place. No good having weapons
like nukes and delivery systems if the enemy doesn't know about it.

You don't think slider as a rule. When you do think, it's not
analytical thinking. You need to ask yourself - what would I do in
Kim's place? The answer - exactly what he's doing now. Setting up a
    basis for equal negotiation.

    ### - imho it's precisely 'because' he has such weapons that they GOTS to attack him!

(even the very 'idea' iraq had wmd's was enough to make 'em go in!)

and BEFORE he can deliver 'em too!

that's gonna be their excuse at any rate hah :)

didn't have either! iow: wmd's, real or fictional, supplies the final

why would they wanna smash up the previous unity of the middle east?? 2 reasons: to deliberately attack/disrupt a growing/competing ideology and,
of course, the oil! inevitably followed then by syria - which i correctly,
