    ### - this keeps happening?

e.g., this one occurred during a late afternoon nap only a few hours ago,
i didn't mean to nod off but must have done, because the next thing i knew
i was in the same place getting ready to turn in, lay down in bed in my darkened front room facing the wall, getting comfortable, only to then
hear my cat jim seemingly pawing at the window making little cat sounds
(l'il fucker's been dead for 25 years lol so defo not a lucid dream then heh...) and so i half turned back over asking him if he wanted to go out,
my thoughts being to maybe get up and let him out the back, whereon i
noticed a huge cat shape climbing/crawling up the curtains on the inside! something that gave me quite a start as i'd never seen him climb up the curtains like that AND he was at least 2 or 3 times bigger than usual!

suddenly i was awake! damn i must have been dreaming! jim was long dead
and there i was dreaming about him, well how about that... whereon i then noticed a cat-shape (smaller) 'outside' the window casting a shadow from
the street lights onto the window and the curtains inside... i don't know
any other cats around here and this one was making movements like it was
    defo trying to get in...

so that's why i was dreaming of jim eh, so who's this one trying to get in
here now? (some thoughts it was a female cat somehow although all i could actually see was a dark silhouette), so ok i thinks, that explains it, the
cat sounds and noises i'd heard in the dream were actually from this cat, whoever it was, plus no chance am gonna let it in here, kinda thing...
when all of a sudden this dark cat shadow am looking at through the
curtains turned into the clear face of a woman that came zooming right at
me right through the window & curtains giving me quite a jolt! yikes! at
which point i again awoke in my same bed only to realise i'd been
dreaming, how weird! a dream within a dream!

at which point i distinctly heard a girls voice calling my name from out
on the street? i thought i recognised the sound of her slightly squeaky
voice and figured that the cat sounds i thought i'd heard in these dream
were then probably hers... so now, and after for some reason struggling to
sit up properly (took longer than it should like i was maybe caught up in
the covers or whatever) am reaching for my pants while wondering why she
was maybe coming to visit me at this time of the night... and she calls my
    name again, nearer this time...

at which point i woke up again still in my same real bed as all the other times, only this time am awake for real (laughing...) i mean wtf??

    :D

    Double false awakening.

    ### - were all yours like this?

when WILDing ya regularly wake up in other dreams but the changed dreams
are always radically different to the ones you were in previously, thus
quite noticeable; whereas these types involve waking up in the 'same'
dream over and over; usually always in my bed heh...

so ok then, when do the IB's start showing up?? (kidding...) :D

one guy i know from fb has this same kinda thing, although with him it
started in childhood; typically he'd get into bed and be getting ready to
go off to sleep, something would make him open his eyes and look at his
room only to find something fucked up that defo shouldn't be there; an
utterly real child standing at the foot of his bed and on another occasion
a vivid bright yellow snake coiling upon itself, things which would quite understandably have him waking up the whole house screaming his head off
haha; and which was diagnosed at the time as being night terrors...

I had lots of experiences of both kinds.
Changing scenes to very different scenes
and 'waking up' in similar scenes to
    my current real environment.

Also sometimes changing scenes to familiar
scenes or 'waking up' in unusual scenes.

'Waking up' in or changing to unusual scenes is
the least tricky. Familiar scenes are usually
both more stable and more 'seductive' in
terms of capacity to fool you.

Best strategy is probably to carefully 'check'
your reality after EVERY transition, but
you can still get fooled for a bit even then.
