“The Russian manufactured air defense systems were totally
ineffective,” Dana White, the Pentagon’s chief spokesperson, said
Thursday. “Russia and the regime demonstrated the ineffectiveness of
their systems again two days later, when those systems engaged
    accidentally.”

I'm no sucker mate. I grew out of the 1970's but it appears you never
did. That is being sucked in. I got with the program but for my own
needs. I bought my first house when I was 18 and negotiated directly
with the sister of the old guy who had died in it alone. Got a good
deal, and 4 houses later, in a really nice underground power area of
two storey houses, at the ripe old age of 43, I paid off my final
    mortgage.

No rent or lease costs for the last 20 years. Definitely not being a
    "sucker".

On the other hand, you're about my age, don't own any real estate,
still paying some sort of rent or lease fee to someone, until you die,
don't have a block of notes for a "rainy day", don't have
superannuation and don't have savings and investment accounts. It
means if I see something I want I actually can have it. Within reason
and totally against my grain I might say as well.

Being a sucker is not having adult children or if one does, being part
of an irreversible breakdown of relationships, or if that hasn't
happened, suffering significant lack of respect from those progeny.

None of which appllies to me. Therefore, cogito ergo summa, I am not
    a fucking sucker, you cunt.

Oh yeah, my oldest grandson (just turned 14, I have a granddaughter
who is older) just flew from Perth to Melbourne to mix with our pro
footy teams and play in Melbourne against other Victorian teams - it's
around 4000km away from Perth (Australia is a BIG place). He's just
arranged his first job after school, 5/7, from 4pm to 9pm because he
wants to save to put himself through law. That is definitely not
being a sucker, having my DNA spread in such a satisfactory way :)

Have a good night/day (pissing down rain here, going into winter soon,
just enjoying some nice weed as well).

    ### - thang is merely talking out his ass/only exaggerating heh;
debt/credit is how society works & functions, without it there wouldn't BE
the society we know it today because it wouldn't be able to afford to pay
up front for all it now has... the world we know only lives & exists
    totally: on credit! (iow: debt)

e.g., Australia's net international investment liability position
(government debt and private debt) was $1,028.5 billion at 31 December
2016, an increase of $5.4 billion (0.5%) on the liability position at 31 December 2016, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

    uk:
88.3% (debt) of GDP (2016) so technically bankrupt lol (e.g., for a
company, a legal max of around 45% debt exists as a guide/test as to
whether a company is still viable/should declare itself bankrupt/cease
trading etc... so at 83% debt versus its annual income it's @ almost
double the legal max; the uk is broke/owned by someone else!)

    america:
Intra-governmental holdings stood at $5.35 trillion, giving a combined
total public debt of $19.19 trillion. U.S. GDP for the previous 12 months
was approximately $18.15 trillion, for a total debt to GDP ratio of approximately 106%. (fuck me! 106%?? broke 4+ times over! LOL...)

Global debt hit an all-time high of $233 trillion (169 trillion) in the
third quarter of 2017, according to the Institute of International Finance (IIF). That's a $16 trillion increase on debt levels at the end of 2016
and more than three times the size of the global economy.5 Jan 2018

= 300%!!!!!!!! (versus 45% viable limit) = the WORLD is broke nearly
    7-times over!

technically, if you're 'not' in debt, then you ain't playin' the game! not contributing!

(thang doesn't pay all his bills up front for instance, like everyone else
he pays in arrears! you use shit and THEN ya pay for it; debt is
    unavoidable, even for thang...)

Jeez, you twist and turn. You've got more kinks than Ray Davies.

that WAS the context after all...

Well pardon me for being literal in the absence of metaphor or simile.

and just because i didn't 'buy-into' the whole 'capitalist' thing doesn't >make me an idiot either, it merely makes me 'free' of (and from) all that!

It makes me debt free and secure in my own home/house which, outside
of war with China, nobody can legally take from me, ever. If I had my "druthers" I'd rather be in my boots than yours.

i.e., am not tied down to anything and am ready to go at 30-seconds
    notice, are you?

Yep, I'm a prepper, fully armed and fooded and ready to TACAMO ("take
charge and move out"). But I wouldn't - my place is solid brick and
concrete, hardwood roofing, fired clay roof tiles, two storey and
built like a brick shithouse :) I would try to gather as many of my
family as I could in my house because it's defendable, built like a
    german pillbox.

That is, unless the blast knocks it right down...

you got back in alright (well partially anyway 'coz you personally can
never 'actually' get in...) but it would take ya at least a month of
sundays to get back out again!

Slider I don't have financial committments. Don't you get it? No
debt, no mortgage, cash at hand, credit cards up to Gold Amex, no
loans, no HP, no leases. I can leave this place in a moment and there
is nothing to pay on it except for land rates to the local council.
The water and power might be cut off but can be reimplemented. No one
can take my house, period. I own it green title and freehold and free
of encumbrance. I'm in the minority.

'getting-out' of things has always been my forte heh... ;)

I never run. I may hide but I do not run.

I cannot think that we are useless or God
    would not have created us.
And the sun, the darkness, the winds are all listening
to what we have to say.

Prithee tell. How am I exaggerating? It's true, I bought my first
house in an inner suburb here in Perth near a lake when I was 18 and
that was back in the mid-70's. Houses always made money and I always
traded up in size as my family grew and put the proceeds of the sales
into the next house. I was fortunate in that for the last house
(present abode in a very nice more or less exclusive suburb) I had a
small stipend from a partnership in a small share registry which was
sold which helped pay down the mortgage to zero in addition to the
    proceeds from the penultimate house.

I don't exaggerate. You can be assured that if I print it here it is
true. If I don't want you to know something, I just forbear
    publishing it.

I'm with Chris. Debt sucks. But without it, the wheels stop turning.
I used debt to get where I am and now I have no use for debt. If I
don't have the cash to pay for something now, I go without. Generally,
    I don't do without much.

That's right. My bills are vehicle registration (I own them too, no

consumption related - food, clothes, travel, electronics, internet
access etc etc. No loans, no encumbrances. I can leave any time I

    ### - that's right mate! am a 'very' slippery customer indeed hehehe (especially with you as i can literally run circles around your blind
spots and be standing behind you just when you think am in front hahaha +
never maliciously btw unless someone's being malicious with moi, in which
case all they ever really succeed in doing is to be fucking with & falling
    over themselves haha :)

that WAS the context after all...

Well pardon me for being literal in the absence of metaphor or simile.

    ### - context should suffice as a clue/leader in the absence of anything
more, in this instance & context; a sucker for propaganda because that's
what we're discussing, so don't be so touchy! (slider ain't after your
tail all the time ya know, you're so defensive? hehehe...)

and just because i didn't 'buy-into' the whole 'capitalist' thing
    doesn't
make me an idiot either, it merely makes me 'free' of (and from) all
    that!

It makes me debt free and secure in my own home/house which, outside
of war with China, nobody can legally take from me, ever. If I had my "druthers" I'd rather be in my boots than yours.

    ### - the wealthy 'always' say/affirm that heh... mainly because the one
thing the wealthy really genuinely fear is losing their wealth? (anything
but that! ohhh noooo! lol :)

"verily verily, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle
than for a rich man to enter the kingdon of heaven..." (grinz...) :P

and ain't THAT the truth! (and so, well, i guess in your case we'll just
have to somehow 'squeeze' ya through the eye of that fuckin' needle innit
heh, am working on it) ;)

i.e., am not tied down to anything and am ready to go at 30-seconds
    notice, are you?

Yep, I'm a prepper, fully armed and fooded and ready to TACAMO ("take
charge and move out"). But I wouldn't - my place is solid brick and concrete, hardwood roofing, fired clay roof tiles, two storey and
built like a brick shithouse :) I would try to gather as many of my
family as I could in my house because it's defendable, built like a
    german pillbox.

That is, unless the blast knocks it right down...

    ### - well i don't have to worry about all that whatsoever heh; the best
laid plans of mice & men and all that? 'coz it hardly 'ever' works out how
we 'plan' things eh? thus adaptability is the key; high levels of
improvisation being what, for example, makes the world of jazz go round
(jazz is very important imho & observation... ask me why?)

but i understand that you do and that's ok, for you! that that's the way
you think about things, and you're not alone in that either! countless
fuckin' millions also think/figure that way too and just look at the state
of our dying world?? (you do realise it's dying don't you? else why would
    you prep!?)

'old' thinking sport! it brought us to our present level of civilisation
that's for sure, but something new's required to deliver us from the
corner that that 'old' thinking has ultimately painted us into? (not many examples of 'that' in the world though! and that's what we need now more
than ever! a way out of the pit we've dug ourselves into!)

you got back in alright (well partially anyway 'coz you personally can
never 'actually' get in...) but it would take ya at least a month of
sundays to get back out again!

    ### - AND thus you're tied down to it! - 'ownership' ('all property is stealing' or something i seem to remember from somewhere?) kinda like a
mini robber-baron? (laughing...) mentally & emotionally you've bought into
all that! (although that said; i know it's not quite as real as all that
for you personally, it's only a game you've been playing (because you
can!) but you don't quite really believe in it like others do eh? and in
my books that's ok! perfect in fact! because ending up 'worshiping' it is
the genuine problem with all that for people generally i mean, it's a
trap! you present a convincing enough argument, just don't end up
believing all your own bs is all hehehehehe ;)

'getting-out' of things has always been my forte heh... ;)

I never run. I may hide but I do not run.

    ### - Houdini was pretty good at getting out of things heh; he had to or
    die! ;)

in a world that's ostensibly a prison perforce ya have to know how to get
    outta things!

and it's got nothing to do with running away heh...

I cannot think that we are useless or God
    would not have created us.
And the sun, the darkness, the winds are all listening
to what we have to say.

    Geronimo

    ### - strange you should quote from the native americans to whom
    'property' was anathema?

(thang in another lifetime: that's MY tepee over there! i paid for it
therefore i own it! now get off my land! hahaha...)

    :)
