    ### - schools are the least of it? with overall figures rising year on
    year:

    2018: 3,214 total deaths from gunshots (including schools) in the US to
    march 24th from a total 12,563 shooting incidents not including suicides...

    http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/

    2017 = 15,596 deaths from 61,582 incidents

    this compared to approx. 80 to 120 total similar deaths in the uk for 2017

    previous years:

    http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/past-tolls

    The US has one of the highest rates of death by firearm in the developed
    world, according to World Health Organization data.

    Our calculations based on OECD data from 2010 show that Americans are 51
    times more likely to be killed by gunfire than people in the United
    Kingdom.

    conclusion: less gun deaths result from having less guns!

    so get rid of 'em then? :)

    (riiiiight...)
