A doctors' union has warned Boris Johnson it would be "ludicrous" not to introduce fresh Covid curbs before the new year as Omicron continues to
spread through the country.

Dr Paul Donaldson, the general secretary of the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association, said Christmas mingling would have further spread
the more contagious strain as he voiced his fears that England is not
acting fast enough.

“There is a high probability we are moving too late,” Dr Donaldson, a consultant microbiologist, told The Guardian. “We will soon start to see
the impact of Christmas.

"We are holding out hope that hospitalisations are at the lower end of projections. But given the uncertainty we face it would be ludicrous not
to take additional precautions.”

The prime minister is set to meet with government science advisers letter
to analyse the latest Covid data to decide whether or not fresh curbs are needed.

scotland, wales & ireland all subsequently introducing tighter measures in-reaction to a massive wave of infection (the biggest/fastest yet)
albeit fairly late in the day, while the boris still dithers over whether
or not now to do anything extra at all??

oh it's deliberate alright coz no one's THAT stupid!? (even the boris
ain't THAT dumb heh) so then he's deliberately going-for herd-immunity as
a new way of potentially getting ahead of the curve! and if that means 'gambling' with millions of people's lives, then so be it!!!

after all, he WAS quoted as saying that he'd "rather see bodies piled in
the streets than institute another lockdown"??

and apparently he's a man of his word!?

history/hindsight will judge you for this one tho' boris, whether it all
goes right or not!

'erring on the side of caution' is where it's *supposed* to be where it's
at??
