    Hi there cyberpunks,
I hope there's a juryrigger among you that's skilled enough to help
    me with a little problem.

So, I have this Adafruit's FONA module, based around SIM800H chip.
    https://www.adafruit.com/product/1946

Now, I didn't do a proper RTFM when researching and ordering
components for my project, and I learned only after the delivery
that this module *strictly* requires power to be supplied from a
    LiPo battery.

Since this module is just one part that needs to be powered, my
original plan was to use a separate switching module to supply power
to the whole gadget (including rPi and touchscreen) while it was in
development, but I am assuming now that no regulator would be able
to keep up with the current demand (docs say that it spikes up to
2A!), which would probably result with chip either rebooting or
ending up in an undefined state.

While documentation clearly states that there's *no way* to have it
work without their LiPo battery, please allow me to be /that/ guy
who ask "Weeell, really, no way?"
Finished gadget will in fact be powered by a battery anyway, but
this is more like a personal thing.

So... anyone has any idea or experience about how could I get around
    this limitation?

    Cheers
