    That looks like it should work assuming mybbs.com has a MUD listening on TCP port 513.

    Rob I'm back to trying this out and the only thing I changed was port back to 23, I get this error
    !ERROR -1 (61) connecting to MUD at mymud.sytes.net No idea whats going on...many thanks !
