No. I haven't heard of it. I had a grandfather who came to the US from Russia with his family, and I think he was only 5 years old or so. So the Russian food and things didn't really stick around in my family. I have a Russian friend who I've known since middle school though, and I visited their house a lot over the years and had some borscht(?) soup and other things they liked to cook.
