    Howdy,

I had this in the logs today - a valid email address, which was accepted to be sent, but when it tried to send it, it failed:

    8/18 17:07:14 term Node 1 <Alterego> sent Internet Mail to Anthony A... <the.ertceps (Anthony A... <the.ertceps@g...>)
    8/18 17:07:15 mail 0000 SEND Message #400 (113 of 113) from Deon George #1 deon.george@bbs... to Anthony A... <the.ertceps [Anthony A... <the.ertceps@g...>]
8/18 17:07:15 mail 0000 !SEND INVALID destination address: Anthony
8/18 17:07:15 mail 0000 SEND !Delivery attempt #1 FAILED (Invalid destination address: Anthony) for message #400 from Deon George to Anthony A... <the.ertceps@g...>
8/18 17:07:15 mail 0000 SEND !Bouncing message back to Deon George
8/18 17:07:15 mail 0000 SEND !Delivery failure notification (message #401) created for Deon George

(The ... is me redacting the details.)

IE: In the to field, the email was entered as "User Name <email@domain.address>"

This is a valid email address format right? Can SBBS handle that?

Not when sending from the BBS. Only name@address is supported. It's conceivable that the name could be parsed out separately, but that's not currently done.
