I just rebuild today, and I'm noticing (only in DOVEnet), kludge lines:
eg:
@MSGID: <5D547BF7.5925.sync@vert.synchro.net>
@REPLY: <5D543E20.40467.dove_sync@digitaldistortionbbs.com>
@TZ: c1e0
On every message.
Did I do something to see those, or are you playing with something?
I dont see them in Fido echos.
It was a bug I added and subsequently fixed.

It's never a bug, it's always a feature, lol.

I don't do DoveNet only Fido and I am seeing them on messages, not all, about half.

I'm seeing your message on Dove-Net though..

This sub-board (and a few others in DOVE-Net) are gated to FidoNet.

because there are three or four of the synchronet areas that are gated between fidonet and dove-net...

Really? I only know of two. :)
SYNCHRONET and SYNC_SYSOPS

SYNCHRONET and SYNC_SYSOPS
there's also SYNC_DATA and SYNC_PROGRAMMING...
max used the gated SYNC_DATA to keep her BBS list updated even though
she never configured to send her BBS information to the list...
SYNC_PROGRAMMING used to be gated by DM but there was a problem at one time with his upstream and the area got dropped by the NAB for lack of traffic OR because of an oversight... i tried to get it restored but
the NAB maintainer at that time didn't respond to my posts or data
showing the area had had traffic within the two or three year
monitoring period... at some point after that, Nick Boel (aka
Accession) started gating it (and other dove-net areas IIRC) to fidonet and also offering it as a FTN using Zone 723...
those are the only dove-net/synchronet related echos i'm aware of being available in fidonet...

Ahh, OK. Hmm, I wonder which QWK conference SYNC_PROGRAMMING corresponds to, because there's a couple on the QWK side (one for JS/Baja and one for C/C++ issues).

The C/C++ one (it's the original Sync Programming conference).
