What do I need to do to have scfg, echocfg, etc display properly in the linux terminal?

It loads up and says SDL Video Initialization Failed. It is near impossible to see what is going on. SCFG works fine when I connect to my bbs and run it through the terminal server as an external. I have SDL installed I believe. I have installed the termcap and terminfo files.

The termcap/terminfo files included in cvs.synchro.net are for ANSI-BBS terminals. Your linux terminal is likely an xterm or something similar, so those don't really apply.

Looks like your TERM/termcap settings don't match your terminal. You can play with the different -i modes, but curses should be handling the terminal emulation automatically.
