• Trying to add files to all the download areas

    I am using Linux and I typed in this command which works unders but in linux

    /addfiles * -szn

    You have to use a <code> (or - or -l) where you have put the "*".

    Also that command is incorrect, should be /sbbs/exec/addfiles (or
    ./addfiles if already in /sbbs/exec). The leading "." is
    required.

    If you are running Linux you might want my synchronet tools. One of them lets you scan a directory for new files and calls addfiles for you. For each file you will get the chance to add a long description. WHen you are done you can run a different script to post to a message base all the files since last post... Can help you out if needed...

    Using '*' in bash does something different than in a Windows command prompt. Use '-' in place of '*' to avoid this issue. See http://wiki.synchro.net/util:addfiles for details.
