It keeps giving me the message "No O:Lines for your host Attempt Logged"

Are you using the sysop's username or literally "Sysop"? I haven't tried using "Sysop", but I'm using my system operator username.
do you have the following (default) line in your ircd.conf? O:*@SYSTEM_QWKID.synchro.net:*:Sysop:OS:10When connect it's showing the host as tiabbs.synchro.net and yes that is the o-line that is in the conf file
if yes, your system is a subdomain in synchro.net, right? and you are logged in via yourdomain.synchro.net and not another domain that your system may have?

for me it just no o-line period I have tried entering it a few times but with the same outcome it does not even +O or -O....
Thank you for replying thought :)

there are four possibilities for the "switches"... -o +o -O +OYes I know about the switches i was just replying to the other post. I even replace the old conf file with one from the cvs website. and then edited only to allow my server to link with vert nothing else was ever changed expect in the old file when i added my own o-line. it should be working out of the box i just have no idea what the issue is. I have tried to oper from from 127.0.0.1 and also from my internal ipv4 network address. Also connecting from the bbs itself.. i'm stumped
they are all ohs...
the O-line is already confirmed in your ircd.conf... it should work out of the box, AFAIK...
I am connecting from 127.0.0.1 and I am connecting to the bbs tiabbs.synchro.net as shown and also added the whois at the bottom as well. I have also tried to connect to the internal address from my 192.168.0.3 also that would be local also.
Could it be that it's not accepting my system password beacuse it has
a special Character aka _ in the password?
you can test this fairly easily... change the system password in scfg, restart sbbs (it should do that automatically), and then
try again... i don't think thethe protocol...
'_' will matter but it is a thought if it might be a special character in
I tried that after reading your responce with no go. I tested it withinthe
bbs itself and from local host. I have no idea what the issue is...

I meant to bring this up in a separate post awhile ago, and I haven't checked the docs recently on whether there's warnings already posted
on this or not, but I think it should be made clear to anyone when the suggestion is to change their system password, that Synchro's crypto
keys are managed with the system password, and any changes to it
require one to go and delete the key, which generates a new key
identifier for ssh connections (at least), etc. It seems to me it's designed to not ever have the system password change.
Might be just an annoyance, but it's not clear in the wiki that a
change in system password should also have one remove their
cryptlib.key for regeneration.

yeah, that should be updated on the wiki... i think not only cryptlib but if
the system password is involved in there somewhere, too...

DM, is it true then that anything using secure sockets in Synchronet would be affected by a system password change and having to
wipe the cyptlib.key file?

I believe that to be true.

I'm also not sure if cryptlib.key is used for any other services.
Thanks I sent the file along to you. thank you to everyone that has
been putting input into my issue

Since I don't have ident my username has ~ before it. 47.186.1.92 is my IP address. This stuff is often easier to do using a remote client first, believe it or not.
The O:line in the ircd.conf looks like this: O:~nelgin@47.186.1.92:*:Sysop:OSRDXs
