• ecweb4 pages menu - static link?

    eC, et. al.

Is ther a way to include a static link in the pages bar at the top of ecweb4? I want to include a link elsewhere instead of a ecweb page.

I'm faking it now by including HTML in the pages directory that does an HTTP redirect, but I was hoping for a cleaner way.

    Thanks!

I think this came up before but I can't remember if I did anything to make it happen. I'll look into it.

If there is no current solution, options probably include:

    1) A special kind of file in your pages/ directory or a subdirectory, let's call it a .url file for now, which contains a special line indicating the desired link title and URL to go to

    2) Entries in modopts.ini [web]

Now that I've written that out, I think option 1 is probably best. Lemme know what you think.

Option 1 seems cleaner, and easier to keep track of. Since there's already a couple of types of page, it'd just be one more type.

I'll mess around with this a bit today. Seems like the best option.
