  • Synchronet FTP Server not working

    Hello all!

    Just wondering, about two years ago I created a bbs called CRT BBS which is offline and is for my family to use. One problem I have always had is the fact that my FTP server can't be accessed externally (from a computer that is not the one my BBS is running on). I have tried everything including opening the port in firewall, fowarding and opening the port in my modem and ensuring it is boadcasting on a set IP address.

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get it to work?

    Everthing else works fine.

    If your ISP is anything like mine port 21 and 80 are blocked. The only work around in that case it to use another port (I use 2121) and let interested folks know where to find it.

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get it to work?

    That may not be your issue but something to check.

    Is it possible your isp is blocking incoming ftp connections?
